A police detective investigates a jewel robbery and the evidence points to his girlfriend as the culprit, she claims she was framed. He arrests her anyway, she is convicted and she serves several years in prison. While out on parole, she gets mixed up in a murder. Now the police detective is torn between his love for his girlfriend and his belief that she might have committed the crime.
